“10 years ago, I decided to give it a go after sustaining a back injury. Being really sceptical at first by the possibility that yoga could be the answer, I was soon astonished by the results and decided to practice it regularly. Later, I struggled with life challenges, and again yoga helped me in many ways. My practice started becoming my balance, my anchor for positive thinking and the recipe to keep my body in good health.”
Outsides our mat, yoga teaches us to let go of the past, not to worry about the future and to become more present in every moment, because our actions in the now, are the seeds that will feed our tomorrow. In this case, why not simply start by slowing down for a moment, understand and reflect on our needs for or our own happiness. It is not easy of course, but over the years, my practice helped me to do so. Every time we arrive on our mat, we make a little pause form our duties, responsibilities, work, and all the things that fill our lives but somehow prevent us from finding our inner peace. During our practice, we learn how to slow down our breath, because when we can control its patterns, not only it has a direct positive impact on our nervous system but we also feel instantly calmer, allowing us to think in a more mindful way. We also move following the rhythm of the breath, at a slow pace, so we can be more in control of our movements and notice any arising feelings or sensations. We simply start to be more present. Yoga also helps us to understand our amazing body alignment, weaknesses and strengths. By observing, we become more aware of who we are: we accept what we can’t change, but also know what we can improve to bring physical balance, peace in our mind, and life in general.
“Yoga has been everything to me and I felt the need to share its teachings to hopefully help improve people lives the way it helped me. I have developed a passion for Vinyasa flows over the years, leading me to passing my licence, and even continuing learning through advance training (500H TTC qualified). I have later discovered Yoga Nidra, and decided to do an additional 50H TTC. This ancient practice has great impacts on our well-being and I wanted to share all its benefits with my practitioners”
My classes are inspired by different styles, such as Vinyasa, Jivamukti and Power Yoga, designed to increase strength, improve flexibility, develop body awareness and bring inner peace.
